The Axis measurement on your prescription works together with the Cylinder value to correct astigmatism. It is measured in degrees, on a scale between 1 and 180, and it describes the orientation of the correction needed rather than its strength. Because it relates to the Cylinder, the Axis only appears on your prescription when a Cylinder value is also present.
